What's New in 2024?
For the 2024 model year, the Crosstrek undergoes a complete redesign. Subaru kicks off the third generation and removes the manual transmission from the lineup. Also, the Crosstrek has a new Wilderness trim. The Crosstrek Wilderness boasts a lifted suspension with 9.3 inches of ground clearance, more rugged exterior design features, and all-terrain tires.
Engine
There are two engine options for the Subaru Crosstek.
- 2.0-liter 152-hp four-cylinder
- 2.5-liter 182-hp four-cylinder
Performance
Drivers of Emerson, NJ who purchase the Base and Premium trims will receive the base 2.0-liter engine. This powertrain, while outputting 152 hp, also produces 145-lbs.-ft of torque and comes standard with all-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission.
As for the who opt for the Sport and Limited trims, they'll receive the more powerful 2.5-liter engine. They'll also get 182 horsepower and 176 lbs.-ft. of torque and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
Regardless of the trim you buy, each model will get around 28/34 miles per gallon.
Design
The 2024 Crosstrek is a spacious and cargo-friendly SUV with improved seat design for added comfort, though the interior remains overtly utilitarian. Leather upholstery is optional, but most trims come with cloth upholstery. The front doors can store water bottles and other loose items, and the cargo area offers 20 cubic feet of space and up to 55 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
Technology
The 2024 Crosstrek will offer the same 11.6-inch infotainment display found in other Subaru models. A smaller seven-inch display comes on the base model, but both screens offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Additional features include heated front seats, a sunroof, leather upholstery, and more.
